Construction of Scripps Florida's campus has begun!

The 350,000 square-foot, three-building complex, housing world renowned biomedical researchers in state-of-the-art laboratories using cutting-edge technologies on the Jupiter campus of Florida Atlantic University, is scheduled for completion in early 2009.

Until then, more than 200 Scripps Florida researchers and support staff are continuing to make significant discoveries in two lab buildings and several trailers near the permanent site. This space will be returned to FAU when the new campus is complete.

But your investment in our permanent campus--destined to benefit human health, biomedical science, and the future of Florida and Palm Beach County--is critically needed now to help ensure that Scripps can embrace the future with confidence.

The new laboratories and advanced technologies Scripps Florida scientists need to do their important work are as varied and sophisticated as the work itself. Scripps researchers require state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to remain on the cutting edge of research.

New laboratory equipment is continually being developed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of basic research. Using these new technologies to create ever-shorter paths from discovery to application in prediction, diagnosis, and treatment of disease is what separates and defines Scripps Florida from other biomedical research institutions.

While science grants from the federal government support specific research projects and state and county funds cover some of the construction and basic equipment costs, your partnership is needed to ensure both stability and growth for Scripps Florida's future.

As the Scripps Florida campus grows, philanthropic opportunities exist for placing in perpetuity your name, that of a loved one, or you company's name on a laboratory or other research facility that may be the site of major discoveries in the prevention and treatment of conditions such as Alzheimer's, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, stroke, deafness and vision loss. The donor of $10 million will name one of the three new buildings that anchor the campus.

Now is the time to invest in the future of biomedical science and discovery that may help you, your loved ones, and all humanity get and stay healthy. Now is the time to contribute to the development of Scripps Florida and our community.
