Frontiers Funds leverage private grants to open new avenues of biomedical research. Frontiers Funds will help launch research at the threshold of new biomedical knowledge that is routinely passed over in favor of more conventional research approaches. Frontier Funds are used to pursue the most significant opportunities at the discretion of the institute’s scientific leadership or can be directed to support disease-related research in any of the following disease areas:

Gifts of any size are welcome. Named funds are available for a minimum gift of $100,000.
Centers of Excellence Funds provide an opportunity for donors to support disease-related projects or particular lines of inquiry listed previously.
Gifts of any size are welcome and will be added to endowments for research in a specific disease area. Named endowments are available for a minimum gift of $100,000.
Endowed Professorial Chairs are among the most meaningful and lasting gifts. Such a gift perpetuates the donor’s philanthropy by creating a permanently funded position, named by or for the donor, which may be occupied in succession by major figures in the world of biomedical science. An endowed professorial chair requires a gift of $3 million. Endowed chairs for department heads are $5 million.
