Science Career Panels

Photo of career panel classroom discussionScience Career Panels are an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to meet and talk with Scripps Research chemistry and biology graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. Panelists will share information about their research, undergraduate studies, and experiences that influenced their decisions to pursue graduate studies and careers in science.

High school students will learn more about the academic path to working in the laboratory, from A.A. to Ph.D. Following the discussion, the panelists lead the students on a tour of their laboratories. Each program takes place at the Scripps Florida research facility in Jupiter, Florida, runs approximately 90 minutes in length, and is intended to be offered after normal school hours.

Each Science Career Panel can accommodate up to 30 students. Teachers and parents are welcome to attend. Transportation to Scripps Florida is the responsibility of the school and/or parents.
