Community Outreach

Scripps Florida is committed to working for the betterment of its local and regional communities. Our scientists speak frequently to community organizations about cutting-edge research and health-related topics in an effort to promote a better understanding of the fundamental ties that exist between biomedical research and human health.  You are invited to join us for one of our upcoming events:

• "CELLebrate" Science with Scripps Florida, our annual public science festival in The Gardens Mall
• Front Lines of Hope, an evening lecture series showcasing Scripps Florida faculty
• Virtual Exploration, a virtual tour of the Scripps Florida research facilities 

These community outreach efforts complement the more formal Educational Outreach Programs at Scripps Florida, which target local students and teachers at the elementary, secondary, and undergraduate levels. 

Scripps Research Institute scientists also offer education events for the entire community at our annual Science “Cell-ebration” Day, a fun experience for thousands of “scientists” of all ages.

Scripps Florida also promotes staff participation in community events, such as the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Habitat for Humanity, Community Blood Drives, Girl Scouts, and Literacy Coalition, just to name a few.
