The Finn Research Group occupies
space equipped for chemical synthesis and molecular biology in the Center
for Integrative Molecular Biosciences (CIMBio) building on the Scripps
campus at 3215 Merryfield Row, La Jolla. The CIMBio opened in 2002, and
houses a broad spectrum of research groups from three departments (Chemistry,
Cell Biology, Molecular Biology) focusing on the structures and functions
of molecular machines, the evolution of enzymes, the
discovery of biologically
active molecules, and the development of useful tools for chemical biology. |

Directions: Exit
Interstate 5 at Genesee Avenue in the La Jolla area and go west off the
exit ramp. Go up the hill and turn right at the second traffic light
after the freeway overpass, onto John H. Hopkins Drive. Continue as the
road curves to the left and ends at N. Torrey Pines Rd. Turn right (north)
onto N. Torrey Pines.
Make your next right at the traffic light at Science Park Road. Go down
the hill and straight onto Merryfield Row. The CIMBio building is the last
one on the right, with a TSRI sign visible from the street. Our labs are
on the second floor; turn left at the top of the stairs for 248 (biology
and M.G.'s office); right for 256 (chemistry). Elevators are around the
left side of the stairwell as you face the stairs. |
