Eric Zorrilla
Eric Zorrilla is originally from Houston, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Duke University in 1991. He's also earned a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. He joined The Scripps Research Institute as a Research Associate in 1997 and is currently an Assistant Professor with the Committee on the Neurobiology of Addictive Disorders. His laboratory studies the neurobiology of feeding and stress with special emphasis on neuropeptide mechanisms involved in disorders of energy balance (e.g., obesity) and the regulatory control of appetitive behaviors.
