Marisa Roberto, Ph.D.

Marisa Roberto is an Assistant Professor for the Committee on Neurobiology of Addictive Disorders at The Scripps Research Institute. She received her B.A. in Biology and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Pisa in Italy.  She first visited Scripps as a Ph.D. candidate and returned for a postdoctoral fellowship in 2001.  She became a Staff Scientist in 2003 and an Assistant Professor in 2005. 

Dr. Roberto, who has received the prestigious Research Society on Alcoholism Young Investigator Award for 2005, has addressed the cellular and in vivo correlates of acute and chronic alcohol exposure.
