Chris Martin

Early in his life, Chris Martin's fascination with living things was fueled by frequent trips to New York City's zoos and Natural History Museum.  Later, the fascination developed into a hobby and Chris began keeping aquarium fish during middle school.  Chris began considering careers in biology while in high school and took an unpaid internship in a neuroscience laboratory during his senior year.  Chris majored in Biology at Tufts University where he explored and expanded his interest in research during laboratory internships.  Following college graduation, Chris worked as a laboratory technician before joining the graduate
student program here at the Scripps Research Institute.  Chris is currently probing the immune system, specifically T cells, and hopes to do basic research for the rest of his life.
