Results were obtained by sequencing both strands of a PCR product or, for chromosome 14, as described in Steinmetz LM, Sinha H, Richards DR, Spiegelman JI, Oefner PJ, McCusker JH, Davis RW. Dissecting the architecture of a quantitative trait locus in yeast. Nature. 2002 Apr 21;416(6878):326-30. Chromosome 14 were derived from the complete sequence of a 30 kb region while the results from other chromosomes were the results of amplfiying speciific 500 base pair regions. All incorrect calls were due to false negatives.
