Get right to the customer

The TSRI SoF Vendor Show provides direct access to over 2500+ TSRI faculty, staff scientists, postdocs, grad students, and technical research staff to show/sell your products.

Trying to expand your business into a new lab or building? Increased foot traffic will bring your customers directly to you. Our show is one of the largest scientific vendor shows in the San Diego area. It also attracts researchers from neighboring institutions including Salk, Sanford Burnham Prebys, UCSD, LIAI, as well as multiple biotech and pharma companies on the Torrey Pines Mesa. We’ve made it even easier for those institutions to join us by providing an on-call shuttle to bring them directly to the show.

Imagine all the saved time and effort to find new customers and reconnect with old customers - they come to you! If you choose preferred vendor status, increased advertising options as well prizes will also bring customers directly to your table!

This year's Vendor Show will be Tuesday May 8, 2018 and is being organized by James Ferguson and Sierra Simpson.

Please complete the registration form before entering payment.
Reservations will be confirmed by email, and held for two weeks unless payment is not received.

All sales are final and nonrefundable, unless a replacement vendor can be found or provided.

Requirements for vendors

The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) requires every vendor that attends the Vendor Show to sign an electronic Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (MNDA) form and comply with the minimum insurance requirements set forth by TSRI. This agreement provides protection for the intellectual property rights of both parties during the show.

Proof of insurance and receipt of the MNDA are mandatory for participating in the show. They are required to do any type of business transaction with TSRI.

The electronic MNDA form will be emailed to you by the TSRI Procurement Department. When registering, please be sure to provide us with the correct name and e-mail address of your company’s personnel authorized to sign this form. Only one form will be mailed per company.

Table Setup and Pricing

Each table is 4ft. x 8ft. in size, will be posted with table number and company name, and will have two chairs provided. Outdoor tables will be provided with a canopy tent, roof, or large umbrella for weather protection.

Table prices are as follows:
Premium table (Yellow): $850
Half Premium table (Yellow): $450
Regular table (White or Blue): $800
Half Regular table (White or Blue): $400
Green Table: $600
Half Green table: $325
Preferred vendor status: additional $50

Preferred Vendor Status and Raffle

To increase participation and foot traffic, we will be holding a raffle with $1000 worth of prizes. For entry, attendees will need to collect one sticker each from different table areas (Yellow, Blue, Green and White). For entry into a draw for $500 cash, attendees will receive one entry for a sticker collected from each preferred vendor, attached next to a list on the entry sheet, with locations marked on the map.

Preferred vendors will also be highlighted on our social media channels before, during, and after the show! They will also be included in pre-show print advertising around Scripps, UCSD, Salk, and events on the mesa.

Please email James and Sierra at ( describing the number of boxes you intend to send and the expected delivery date. The deadline for arrival at TSRI is Thursday, May 3rd, 2018. You can pick up your pre-shipped items at the staging area by the Immunology building on the day of the show.

Arrival & Parking

There will be a staging area near the Immunology Building where SOF volunteers help unload items from 7:30 - 10:00 am. Please drop off equipment and displays at the tent first.

We have arranged free parking in Lot #2 off of John Jay Hopkins dr. as well as the overflow parking at the MEM Building for all representatives (Marked with the blue squares on the parking maps - here).

If you do not need to drop off materials, please proceed directly to the parking areas. From North Torrey Pines Court parking lot, follow the sign-posted footpath across to the Immunology Building and the rest of the TSRI campus. A free shuttle service will be available from MEM to TSRI main campus.

Ask us for help

Each building/area will have a designated SoF member assigned as a building host. All hosts will be wearing a SOF T-shirt for easy identification. If you need help locating something, need directions to the restrooms, would like a bottle of water, or have any other question, don't hesitate to ask one of us!


Please be sure to indicate the number of people who will be attending from your company so we can be sure to order enough food for everyone.


The SoF will provide complimentary coffee, pastries, and fruit. A table will be located at each of the 3 exposition areas. There is also a coffee cart on the Immunology Patio where drinks and snack food can be purchased. Vending machines are also available in each building.


The SoF will also provide a complimentary lunch. There will be a choice of salad/sandwiches that come with chips, whole fruit and a cookie. A selection of soft drinks and bottled water will also be available throughout the day.

Post-Show Wrap-up

The vendor show will end at 2 pm. The staging area near IMM will be available for storing equipment until you pick up your car. We will also offer a shuttle service to the parking lot, in the event that you have heavy equipment to return to your car.

Vendor Appreciation After Show Happy Hour

After you've packed away your materials and retrieved your car, please join us for a happy hour to celebrate another successful show. Network with colleagues or just relax and unwind after a full day of work. We will be providing complementary beer, wine and sodas and a selection of hors d'oeuvres from 2:30-4pm at the TSRI Faculty Club, North Torrey Pines Court (a map will be provided). Please indicate on the registration form if you will attend the after show Happy Hour.
