Download software for PCs, click on link below and under "Select Product Software" scroll to Sequence Scanner Software v 1.0, and download. http://www.appliedbiosystems.com/

Stuff-it Expander

You will need to have some sort of Expander software installed on your computer to expand the ".zip" files or the ".sit" files. Stuff-it Expander can expand both. Download and install Stuff-it Std. (free expansion and decoding only version). Stuff-it Std. includes Stuffer and Expander. The Stuffer part is on a 15-day trial. The Expander part is not and will continue to function after the 15-day trial period.

Installing Chromatogram Viewing Software

For Macs:

Download the Editview program from the site above. The file is a Stuff-it expander file. If you have Stuff-it expander you can just double-click on the icon to install the software. If not, you will have to get Stuff-it expander.

For PCs:

Download Sequence Scanner Software v 1.0. Install the software.

You may have to set up your computer to associate the ".ab1" files with the software. For XP, this is done by opening the "My Computer" window, going to "Tools" then "Folder Options", then select the "File Types" tab. Select "New", type in the extension ".ab1", click OK. Then in the list of file types, highlight the new file type you just created and select the "Change" button. This will give you the option of selecting the particular software you want to use to open these files, so choose it from the list or use the Browse function to find it on your computer. Find the software you want to use and select "OK".
