Downloading the .ab1 files from our website
(that's a one not an L)

For Macs:

You will need to download Conversion Software, Click Here . This software will allow you to download the .ab1 files using ANY web browser to your computer.

Instructions: Download your ".ab1" files from our web site using ANY web browser. This will create a "Blank" icon for the file. Save these files to a particular folder. Then Double-click on the newly created software icon (MakeABI....), it will ask you to CHOOSE the particular folder where it can find the ".ab1" files to convert. Choose that folder. Once chosen, the software will convert all ".ab1" files in the folder, making them readable on your Mac. It will not affect any other files in the folder, only the ".ab1" files.

For PCs:

Download your ".ab1" files from our web site by going to your directory on our web site and putting the cursor on the ".ab1" file you wish to download, right click, then select "Save This Link As..." and save the file to the desktop. You can then double click on the new Chromas program icon, which will launch the program. Then under "File" on the menubar choose "Open" navigate to your file on the desktop and select it. Or you can try double-clicking on the file on the desktop. It will ask you what program you would like to use open it. Use the Browse function to navigate to the Chromas.exe application. This should open the file in Chromas. You will only have to this once, from then on the computer should recognize the files and open them with Chromas.
