Faculty at the California campus of The Scripps Research Institute are engaged in a wide range of research activities within the chemical and biological sciences, including chemical synthesis, chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, natural products synthesis, catalysis, physical organic chemistry, molecular recognition, peptide and protein chemistry, antibody chemistry, nucleic acid chemistry, and nanomedicine. These and other endeavors aim to advance our fundamental knowledge in chemistry and to apply it for the betterment of mankind in general and human health in particular.
