Lab Notes — Join us for exciting and educational lectures presented by Scripps Research faculty. All of the lectures take place on Scripps Research's picturesque La Jolla, CA, campus and are followed by complimentary receptions. The programs are offered free of charge.
Frontiers in Science — Several times a year, the Institute hosts a lecture or panel presentation by Scripps Research scientists on a particular disease, recent discovery, or the application of new knowledge to clinical practice. The series is called Frontiers in Science.
1,000 Friends of Science Dinner
Members of the Institute's 1000 Friends of Science — made up of individuals and couples who give $1,000 or more each year — are invited to an annual reception and dinner on campus by Michael A. Marletta, Ph.D., president of The Scripps Research Institute.
Members of The Scripps Legacy Society — made up of individuals and couples who have made gifts of real estate, gifts by bequest, or gifts from trusts or other planned giving instruments — are honored each year at an event designed to update them on progress in research on diseases.
Scripps Speaks
Scripps Research scientists are passionate about their work, articulate in discussing it, and generous in the time they find to give to groups wanting to learn more about research on a particular disease.
To request a Scripps Research scientist to speak to your group in California, please call Chelsea Luedeke at (858) 784-7083.

Front Lines of Hope
This community outreach series produced by the Office of Philanthropy was introduced to the public upon the advent of The Scripps Research Institute’s move into its permanent facilities in Jupiter, Florida in 2009. The evening lecture series, Front Lines of Hope showcases Scripps Florida faculty and their cutting-edge research to the community at large. The interactive presentations welcome the public to share access to our science and researchers.
