Velia Fowler: Female Faculty Lecture Series (Dec 12, 2013)
For the latest installment of our Female Faculty Lecture Series, we are pleased to present Professor Velia M. Fowler.  Velia has been at TSRI for 26 years. She is a leader in the field of actin cytoskeletal biology, and her research continues to lay the foundation for understanding the regulation of actin filament dynamics and structure in a variety of systems. Her career has also focused on education through mentorship in her laboratory, direction of the graduate Cell Biology course, and her recent appointment as Associate Dean of Graduate Studies at TSRI. We invite all interested members of the TSRI community to attend this unique lecture and get to know one of TSRI's many distinguished female professors through a personal reflection on her career as a research scientist.
