Welcome to the 2008-2009 TSRI Department of Genetics Seminar Series.

These lectures will have a strong focus on the genetics of host defense, and will be presented by local, national, and international experts in their particular fields. Not only geneticists, but also immunologists, cell biologists, and those with an interest in all forms of microbial pathogenesis will find them enjoyable. We welcome the participation of all members of the scientific community, including our colleagues from local Institutions such as UCSD, LIAI, GNF, The Burnham Institute, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center and members of the biotechnology community of San Diego. Each speaker will spend the day and evening interacting with Faculty, Fellows, Students and Scientific Staff in the Department of Genetics and other members of the Institute.

Seminars will be held on Tuesdays between 2 and 3 unless otherwise noted, in The Committee Lecture Hall of the Molecular Biology Building at TSRI.
